It's time for some SWEET TEA

Just a sneak peak of what I have been working on for this weeks project, I had taken some photos so with an app I was able to at least show you this. Hardware is still on route to me so pattern won't be available till the end of the week.

I call these my SWEET-TEA Coasters. As August always seems to be unpredictable for weather, as I write this we are told a tornado is heading to us. My darling husband is on its path has he heads home. So I will keep this short but wanted to at least let you know, I have been busy sewing many of these, so looking forward to showing you the variety I put together and look a chef's hat on the tea holder... I am in awe of the variety of buttons that Shelly has on her site.

A sweet reminder it is always the little things that can sweep you up.
Buttons do that for me along with these Sweet -Tea Coasters.

They have a pocket in them to add a message to a special person or you can place your cookie or biscuit inside. What I loved the most was coming up with a variety of combo's that reflect any and all personalities.

The pattern will show you a unique way of sewing irregular shapes
by layering them all together and sewing once and turning right side out....voila, each one will be as perfect as your last.

I have to dash, it got very dark here and the winds have picked up speed.... Grabbing my ragdolls and heading to our basement.

All of you who are in the path of this storm, be safe.

YOU Matter.

Next day....the tornado passed us by, so we can embrace yet another new beginning. So here are a couple more of Sweet Tea Coasters that I completed.

I have this passion for yellow gingham and black, My studio are these colors. It stems from my Nanny her kitchen was yellow gingham and white, and as long as I can remember, she not only decorated with gingham but wore it too. Even after years of her passing she lives in my heart and soul.

This is where I create, design and sew. My favourite room in our home through all seasons ...there are your right is a photo of her in her yellow gingham and white kitchen. And yes
she was wearing a yellow gingham outfit.

and more....

I am going to load these up, as I will be sewing more today,
waiting to complete pattern once my hardware arrives.

Let us know how we can do better?

You matter,

P.s what a long wait, but hardware is here and I just completed the pattern - YEAH.....!
